Mendip Hills

I returned from a week in the scottish mountains to Bristol and awoke to find a snow covered street outside my window. I walked on the Mendips to the trig point on Black Down. The snow was surprisingly deep in places and the landscape covered with a low lying cloud which made for an atmospheric morning. It snowed on and off and I met no more than a handful of people including a chat to a skier on the top whilst I drunk from my warm flask.
